Space Applications Services – Intern – Laboratory Technician
Internship Position
We are looking for a Quality Assurance / Laboratory intern to join our Quality Department to support our laboratory and stock management activities. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented engineering student with strong organizational skills, an interest in laboratory operations and inventory management, and the ability to support equipment tracking, package registration, material classification, and cleanroom activities in a structured and quality-focused environment.
Location: Sint-Stevens-Woluwe (Brussels Area)
Duration: A minimum of 3 months is required (3 – 6 months is preferred)
Start date: At the earliest
Tasks and Responsibilities
Inventory management
Classification of materials and equipment
Receival and registry of packages
Helping to keep lab and cleanroom in shape
Preparation and tracking of calibratable items and calibration list
Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background is considered a strong asset.
High level of responsibility, reliability, attention to detail
Good communication skills in English
Considered as Assets
Basic understanding of technical components, equipment, and engineering materials.
Familiarity with inventory management principles and material classification methods.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to maintain accurate records and databases.
Familiarity with 3D modelling software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor, Fusion 360, Creo) is considered an asset.
Knowledge of calibration processes and laboratory equipment is an advantage.
